Abstract :
The electrostatic dipole-dipole interaction is significantly responsible for the dielectric behaviour of matter. In the past, analytic models had been developed to describe these properties. With increasing performance of personal computers it is possible now to calculate the whole system numerically on a microscopic scale by calculating local electric fields at each dipole.
