Abstract
Recently, the approach on the products information management system and electronic commerce has been activated by using electronic catalog. The aim of these activities is to optimize data exchange between companies, business systems, engineering tools, data systems within companies. The exchange of product data between various systems can only run smoothly when both the information to be exchanged and use of this information has been clearly defined. This paper describes the technical data exchange of process measuring equipment based on the List of Properties (LOPs), and the challenges of electronic catalog in the future.
