Abstract :
A novel bridge-type fault-current limiter for three-phase four-wire power systems is put forward. The circuit model and its principle are discussed in detail. The control strategies for varying circuit-fault modes are analyzed. The limiter can restrain fault-current to a required level and realize system soft re-closing without impact. The theoretical prediction is validated by simulation and experiment.
