Abstract :
Moxibustion is one of treatment methods which are commonly used in clinical Chinese medicine, with several thousand years of history. However, many factors affect the curative effect of moxibustion, such as the meridians and acupoints selection, the time of moxibustion, the amount of moxibustion and so on. there is a lot of uncertain information, lacking of regularity of the excavation, which has a direct impact on the clinical application of moxibustion. Rough sets is a powerful mathematical tool to deal with uncertainty information and incomplete situation. It can effectively deal with many issues related to uncertainty. In this paper, Rough Sets Approach is applied to tap the part of the law of meridians and acupoints selection about treatment of diseases with moxibustion. Through the use of rough sets methods(RS) and frequency of statistical analysis method(FSA) to excavate the data in the literature relating to clinical of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) Modern moxibustion literature, we discover that Bladder Meridian of Foot-Taiyang is commonly used to treat disease with moxibustion, and it is the most important meridians of moxibustion application.
