Abstract :
It is an ideal choice of establishing the simulation of the Automatic Storage&Retrieval System (AS/RS) for predicting cost and increasing efficiency. In this paper, Flexsim is used to build up an AS/RS system model for simulation and optimization. Firstly, the overall process and simulation modeling are described in detail based on Flexsim. During analysis of the model, this paper focuses on the key links of the model such as the utilization rates of conveyors and stackers and how to reduce the idle time, and then we provides two ways for system optimization to solve the bottleneck problem, in order to maximize the efficiency of the system.
