Abstract :
Snow particle size distributions were observed in Kanazawa, Japan. In this study the relation between snow particle size distribution and snowfall rate were analyzed. Using imaging system to gather snow particle type information allows to create separate size distribution characteristics for each particle type. Considering information concerning the snowfall rate, it was found out that those relations were parallel in case of snowflakes.
