Abstract :
The possibilities of improving the efficiency of a millimeter-wave gyrotron with multimode interaction fields of whispering gallery waves in a relativistic helical electron beam are discussed. It is shown that a two-mode gyrotron compared with single-mode allows increasing the efficiency from 40 to 45%.
