Abstract
The influence of the electric field periodic inhomogeneity in the interactions space, caused by the presence of a slow structure, to the processes of an electron beam interaction with high-frequency waves in M-type devices is investigated. It is shown that the presence of such heterogeneity modifies the electric modes which are the best for the interaction of device operation as the amplification both of a monochromatic wave, and signals, containing many harmonics.
