Abstract
The runtime characteristics of CORSIM, a traffic corridor software simulator are presented. The simulator was profiled under both the NT and Linux operating systems. Profiling identifies bottleneck simulator function categories. Functions devoted to event scheduling and simulation overhead account for 80%-90% of CORSIM runtime
