Abstract
With regard to group decision making (GDM) problems based on multigranularity interval linguistic, we propose a new consensus method for GDM. Firstly, we transform information of multigranularity interval linguistic into information of fuzzy set in basic linguistic term set, and aggregating these values we obtain group assessment value. Secondly, a consensus mechanism guide experts to adjust their assessment values and control the decision making process under the constraint of consensus level. The solution can be achieved when consensus level meets preset requirement. The main advantages provided by this method is that it not only solves GDM problems based on linguistic information combined linguistic with interval linguistic but also generates feedback information automatically that contributes experts to amend assessment values and improve the problem´s consensus degree, such that it automates the whole GDM process. In the last section, this method is proved feasible and effective by a numerical example.
