Abstract :
Digital controllers such as lead compensator, lag compensator, lead-lag compensator and predictive (proportional integral derivative) PID controllers are designed and implemented in VLSI with the help of Octtools set. The design is simulated making use of MUSA simulator and tested for its functionality. The design is fully functional and has made use of mixed point arithmetic for efficient operation. The controllers are certainly faster, because of their hardware implementation
