Abstract

Viewlogic´s User Interface is part of the company´s Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) framework. The aspects of this framework that are especially interesting from the point of view of the user interface include: the Powerview cockpit for launching and monitoring tools; the Core UIMS for programming the interface; ViewScript, an interactive extension language which provides a high degree of customization and access to the UI system; and Inter Tool Communication. We show how these components can be used to achieve integration of tools at various levels of the system´s user interface
