Abstract
The SAE Formula Hybrid competition is event where students from many different schools put their engineering knowledge to use to design complex hybrid racing systems; Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has been competing in this competition since its inception. This paper discusses the design on the team´s energy storage and accumulator design for the 2012 competition. This design is required to follow all 2012 rules set forth by SAE International and this paper discusses the concerns of the design regarding these rules.
