Abstract
The pipeline Analog-to-Digital converter (ADC) is designed using MOS discrete-time parametric amplification technique. This technique involves two phases namely sampling phase φ1 and the amplification phase φ2. In this amplifier, the gain is set through the reduction of the total equivalent gate capacitance of a single MOSCAP device while maintaining the total gate charge between the sampling phase φ1 and the amplification phase φ2. This ADC uses only MOS devices. Here no sources of noise involved in the amplification process: the amplification after sampling is, therefore, ideally noiseless, which consumes low power.
