Abstract :
This paper reviews the evolution of the business services that provide corporate networking from the public network. Specific phases that are described are: Nodal Centrex, Networked Centrex, Private Virtual Networking, and Global Virtual Network Services. From within this context, the benefits of AIN-based Virtual Network Services are examined, highlighting some challenges for the future.<>
