Abstract
Microgrid technology can effectively integrate the advantages of distributed generation, and also provide a new technical way for large scale application of grid-connected generation of new energy and renewable energy. Microgrid can not only enhance the efficiency of energy cascade utilization, but also be used as an effective complementary of power grid and improve the reliability of power supply and power quality. It is one of the latest cutting-edge research topics in the field of electrical engineering at home and abroad. This paper firstly elaborates the background and the basic concept of microgrid, then describes the current domestic and international situation of microgrid research, finally the key problems and development prospects of microgrid technology are discussed.
