Abstract :
The present paper reports analysis of the operator´s eye movements during an operation of virtual box-carrying robots in order to investigate the operational skill. First, an algorithm of gaze detection which utilizes template matching for improvement of the author´s previous method is presented. Second, the eye movement during a vehicle operation was detected by using the algorithm and the saccade velocity and distance, were investigated. As a result, it was confirmed that the saccade movement changed according to the skill level when the robot´s speed was high, but the saccade did not change when the robot´s motion is slow.
