Abstract
In this paper, we present a methodology for document retrieval by content based on the dynamic multi-dimensional storage model for the design of a document warehouse and on the frame representation of queries in terms of the dimensions of the model. In the dynamic multi-dimensional model, the dimensions are atomic semantic categories embedded in a familiar taxonomy. A frame is a dimension in the document warehouse and the frame slots are the attributes of the dimension. Documents that are relevant to the user can be retrieved by using queries represented as instances of a frame system
