Abstract :
The algorithm for an adaptive playback buffer, which allows smoothing hops and emissions, is presented. The algorithm uses a robust Kalman filter. The robust filter ignores single delay bursts and rapidly switches to a new delay value when the trend is changed or the level of delays that occur due to a burst of batch activity, the filter allows switching quickly, owing to a certain window of observation allowing making a decision about a spike´s type.
