Abstract
To use intra-body propagation signals for biometric person authentication has been proposed. The intra-body propagation signal is hid in a body; therefore, it has tolerability to circumvention using artifacts. In addition, there is another advantage that utilizing signals in the body enables liveness detection without additional schemes. In this paper, the support vector machine (SVM) is introduced into verification process in order to improve verification performance. The SVM is one of powerful pattern classification methods. In experiments using 20 subjects, verification ratio of about 86% was achieved.
