Abstract :
Network protocol infrastructure is a flexible system framework for protocol construction and protocol architecture development. Unfortunately, general and systematic study on infrastructure development is lacking. We first summarize a study on the design issues for developing an infrastructure. Then we propose an implementation model, which incorporates the study results, to build a flexible, efficient and protected infrastructure. The model has been used to develop a mechanism called OBPIS to construct a network protocol infrastructure.<>
