Abstract :
In this article a new system for navigated imaging and 3-d reconstruction is proposed. It features intraoperative and register-free image acquisition for interactive planning of a navigated intervention. Especially, the following aspects will be analyzed in this article: a) determination of correct positions and orientations of X-ray projection images, b) reconstruction of a volume by tomosynthesis, c) spatial correctness of the cross-sectional image planes and d) influence of the order of image acquisition. Experiments have shown that the preliminary navigation accuracy of this approach is about 1 mm
