Abstract :
At INTELEC 2004 in Chicago, Illinois, USA, I introduced the Direct Amplitude Modulation for Switch-mode Power Supplies (DAM) for the first time. The introduction was brief showing only the basic properties of this invention. Yet, numerous inquiries and requests for more details have been received and that led to today´s paper. The purpose of this publication is to further explore this unique topology, present simulation as well as experimental examples and some practical applications.
