  • Abstract
In this paper, various kinds of ripple reduction topologies for switching converters are presented. A ripple canceller employing auxiliary switches is initially introduced and its steady state and small signal ac analysis are examined. Next, a ripple canceller using a voltage transformer, which needs no additional switches and drive circuits, are proposed. Finally, a ripple reduction circuit employing a current transformer, the simplest among all topologies, is proposed. For all topologies, the control-to-output transfer functions are experimentally investigated and comparative studies on the proposed topologies are performed
