Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. The rod-pinch diode is an interesting candidate for high-power flash radiography. This geometry was tested at the 1- to 2 MV level on Gamble II, Sabre, ANCELIX, and at the 2- to 4 MV level on ASTERIX. An experiment was done in 2002 on ASTERIX to evaluate the rod-pinch geometry at up to 6 MV and /spl sim/100 kA.
