Abstract :
In this paper we investigate the performance analysis of indoor infrared wireless communication channel, by characterizing the IR channel impulse responses. The channel impulse responses are generated using an estimation method based on geometrical modeling of indoor environment. Here we consider multiple numbers of reflections, which are calculated iteratively. Both LOS and Diffuse configurations are taken into account. The multiple reflections from room surfaces introduce the multipath spreading. Many empty rectangular room scenarios are considered to compute the received power on computer simulation. The performance of IR channel modeling is studied by Bit Error Rate (BER) and Signal-to Noise Ratio analysis.
