Abstract :
In this study, wavelet transform is used to decompose the forced turbulent jet flows. Turbulent component and organized (forced) component of the measured signals are determined using the wavelet decomposition technique. We investigated the rms values of the organized and the turbulent motions for various test cases such as axial distance, Reynolds number and forcing frequency. In the experiments, several measurements on organized jet flows on an ID jet were carried out. An elliptical plate was used in order to obtain sinusoidal forcing.
