  • Abstract
Prebreakdown phenomena occurring in liquids are linked with emitted light in the UV, visible and IR range. A spectroscopic analysis of this light can be used to evaluate some fundamental parameters of the discharge such as energy of charge carriers, kinetic temperature of neutral molecules, electron density, etc.. In this paper, we describe the main difficulties to overcome to carry out a spectroscopic analysis in dense fluids.
