Abstract
The aim of this paper is to extend the VIKOR method to an intuitionistic fuzzy compromise approach to multi-attribute decision making (MADM) in intuitionistic fuzzy (IF) sets. The VIKOR method presumes crisp data while fuzziness is inherent in decision information and decision making process. In this paper, an intuitionistic fuzzy Lp - metric is developed to extend the VIKOR method to the intuitionistic fuzzy environment. According to the concept of the VIKOR, the compromise ranking index based on measuring the closeness to the intuitionistic fuzzy ideal solution used as an aggregating function in a compromise solution. The attribute weight vector is computed by establishing a linear programming model, and the trade-offs involved in obtaining the aggregating function is discussed. A real example of a readiness evaluating problem about ship-borne C3I system is examined to demonstrate the implementation process of the method proposed in this paper.
