Abstract :
The chemical short range order in rod of Pd40.5Cu40.5P19 bulk amorphous alloy is investigated using the next neighborhood evaluation (NNE), an algorithm developed to extract information about next neighborhood from 3D tomographic atom probe data. NNE algorithm is processed for 10times10times10 nm3 volume chosen from the centre of the analyzed volume of cast sample. Selecting only Cu-Cu elemental correlation, histograms are drawn for the first five neighbors with distances exhibiting a Gaussian distribution. The algorithm is successfully utilized to elucidate next neighborhood
