Abstract
In wireless grid the wireless devices have many considerations such as device mobility, device heterogeneity, resource constraint, resource sharing, security and so on. These devices may dynamically join or leave the grid. Their status is affected by various parameters like the battery power, signal strength, the number of jobs submitted to it, device mobility, etc., and they may reach overload/poor state. Hence there is a need to keep track of available devices, resource utilization, and the resource availability pattern that may ease an activity of long term resource planning in the wireless grid. Also there is a need to control the device state so that it will not enter into overload state. This paper proposes a multiagent model to monitor the resource availability and control the device state. The model controls the device state by taking relevant actions based on its current state. The work is simulated to test its operation effectiveness in terms of resource availability, device state, job execution rate, and event notices.
