Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. The frequency of ICH (Ion Cyclotron Heating) in magnetic confined fusion devices such as tokamak depends on the applied magnetic field and generally the transmitter with the frequency of 20-80 MHz is required. There are many advantages to use solid state device than the vacuum tube at the amplifier stage because no tuning device is needed during frequency change and it is very compact. 4 kW WBA(Wide Band Amplifier) mainly consists of four sets of a 1 kW amplifier module and a power combiner is designed and fabricated. In this presentation, design and gain characteristics of 4 kW WBA are shown.
