Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. The NBI(Neutral Beam Injection) heating system for the KSTAR (Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research) tokamak consists of ion source, bending magnet, OMA scrapper, neutralizer, ion dump, calorimeter and etc. The Neutral Beam Cooling Water System (NBCWS) must distribute cooling water to the various components within the Neutral Beamline. The system receives its cooling water supply from the Neutral Beamline Cooling Water Supply System and returns the heated water to that same system. The NBCWS will provide local distribution of the cooling water to those components of the NBI at specified design flow rates and pressure. It also provides the instruments of gauges and controls for measuring the energy dissipated in the various components. We determine design requirements that satisfy flow rate, pressure, temperature of the various components. For the design requirements, we specify the specification of pump, booster pump, heat exchanger, micro filter, header size, duct line, D/W tank, cooling tower, water quality, the instrumentation of gauges and setting pressure. We upgrade the current constructed NBCWS.
