Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. Summary form only given. Every kind of plasma instability exists in a reversed field pinch (RFP) plasma, resulting in the behavior of plasma dynamics becoming very complex. In this process magnetic flux is self-generated by a turbulent electric field, which is deeply concerned with plasma instabilities. In a RFP plasma, this self-organization process plays an essential role in plasma formation. We describe here an experimental study of chaotic behavior in RFP plasmas. To investigate the property of the self-organization process in RFP plasma, the concept of chaos is applied to the analysis of its fluctuation signal. Although in past years, research regarding the chaotic phenomena in RFP plasma had concentrated on making sure that chaos exists in RFP plasma or not, low dimensional chaos was not still found. In our research, to investigate the chaotic behavior in RFP plasma in detail, we divide fluctuation data into several frequency bands and chaotic analysis is applied to these divided fluctuation signals.
