Abstract
Inverter power supplies are widely used in many of industrial processes and applications. Design of high performance inverter power supplies require stringent control algorithm in both steady state and transient. The use of low cost microcontroller or digital signal processor (DSP) can offer sophisticated control algorithms with highly flexible software. This paper proposes a new control algorithm based on a two layer control structure to improve inverter power supply response. The proposed two layer controller including PI feedback controller and feedforward controller has been realized using Renesas Electronics´s SH (SH7047) microprocessor. Simulation and experimental results of the inverter power supply are presented to demonstrate the performance of the proposed control approaches.
