Research and development of KSTAR magnetic diagnostics in the magnetic diagnostic installation chamber

Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. Magnetic Diagnostic Installation Chamber (MDIC) which has almost the same dimension of the KSTAR inner shell vacuum vessel cross section was prepared for research and development for KSTAR magnetic diagnostics so that most of magnetic diagnostics are installed and tested in the MDIC before installing in the KSTAR main vacuum vessel. Various clips for installing sample magnetic diagnostics were attached in the MDIC. A sample Rogowski coil, flux loops, saddle loops and magnetic field probes were also installed on the clips. Detailed procedures of the sample fabrications, installation of the sample coils in the MDIC, and technical issues from the sample fabrications will be presented. In addition, 3-D position measurements for the magnetic diagnostics and various clips installed on the MDIC will be reported.
