Abstract :
The analysis technique of the classical step discontinuity in a microstrip line by transverse resonance method was proposed. The numerical algorithm is implemented using the approximation of the tangential components of the electromagnetic field at the interface in the form of a series in its eigen waves of complicated waveguide´s cross-section. The algorithm was tested on the example of section of microstrip line step discontinuity. The data on the convergence of the algorithm and the comparison of the calculated characteristics with the experimentally measured are presented in this paper.
