Abstract :
We developed the design of the waveguide high-pass filter (HPF) [1] with a smaller length as compared with known designs of HPF [2] and with tuning cutoff frequency of the order of 50% of the operating band of the standard rectangular waveguide. Traditionally, HPF is used for rough frequency measurement of microwave pulses [3-5]. In the report we present iterative method that allows showing the possibility of measuring the detailed amplitude and phase spectra of microwave pulses by high-pass filter. The method is based on the iterative processing of the original signal envelope and the envelopes of signals passed through a high-pass filter with a set of different cutoff frequencies. The method has been tested by numerical simulation on test signals and showed good accuracy of reconstruction of the amplitude and phase spectra.
