Abstract
Atom probe tomography is used to study the thermal reaction in Co/CU magnetic multilayer samples prepared by ion beam sputtering unto pre-shaped W substrates. Film thickness is chosen to be 2 nm corresponding to the second antiferromagnetic coupling maximum and heat treatments are carried out from room temperature up to 600degC
