Abstract :
By integrating the visual attention model in human vision system and the tile and slice group structure in scalable video coding (SVC), a novel scheme was proposed to adapt video resolution based on adaptive region of interest (AROI) extraction. This idea can be applied to ROI based video coding, adaptation and delivery, by embedding anchor point of focusing macroblock in each key frame and motion vectors (MVs) in other frames in coded video stream or sequence parameter set (SPS) in SVC.
