Abstract :
Vehicle is a basic element in the road traffic system. Vehicle\´s movement depends on driver\´s driving characteristics and driving behaviors. This paper introduced agent theory/technology and ACT-R cognitive behaviors into microscopic traffic simulation. At first, descript agent\´s properties, structures and its application in traffic simulation, analyzed the structures of ACT-R and driver\´s cognitive behaviors. Then, established a model framework of "driver- vehicle" agent unit, and explained the function of each module in detail. The construction of this model framework provides a basis for a simulation about the influence of driver\´s driving characteristics difference on road traffic flow.
