Abstract :
Nano-crystalline graphitic films are synthesized from methane and hydrogen gas mixture directly on stainless steel plates by microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition (MWPCVD). Surface treatment of the samples, coated with metals (Ti), were performed by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique. Field emission experimental results indicated that the field emission work-stability of films coated with metals was improved in comparison to un-treated film. The possible reasons of field emission properties improvement for the sample were discussed
