Abstract
2-D periodic wire metamaterials have been investigated by the volume integral equation with Green´s function of periodically located sources (periodic FG). It is shown that such structures are highly suitable for the transmission of terahertz and infrared radiation. The wires are taken into account as complex permittivity of metal for terahertz and infrared frequencies. The homogenization of ideal and nonideal metallic wire media are performed.
