  • Abstract
    A measurement system, based on an embedded 386EX processor, for on-line insulation monitoring of power transformers, instrument transformers, transformer bushings, coupling capacitors and MOA is developed in this paper. Its working principles are presented and test results are discussed. The system has been installed at a 110 kV substation. Onsite operating results show that this system owns the property of high stability and strong interference tolerance. This online system can be used for monitoring the insulation condition and indicating the evolution of any developing problems in real time while HV apparatuses are energized at rated voltage
