Abstract :
This paper presents a direct torque control with space vector modulation method for matrix converter drives. It is possible to combine the advantages of matrix converter with the advantages of the DTC strategy by using space vector modulation algorithm of matrix converter and direct torque control strategy of induction motor. The proposed control system has been validated through simulations with MATLAB tools. The waveforms of matrix converter and the speed/torque responses of motor show the effectiveness of the control scheme.
