Abstract :
Enhanced Slotted aloha new method for medium access which reduces the probability of collision to 0.90. It deals with communication between various stations using a single channel and avoiding a collision which is considered to be a difficult task for a single channel. It gives a better collision resistance then the previously used methods. Enhanced slotted aloha divides the wait state in three parts each wait state is responsible for holding specific type of data before transmission. The present paper describes the working of this method and its advantages over previous methods. Enhanced slotted aloha ensures there is not collision during transmission of data but cannot guarantee the collision that occurs during connection establishment or while sending the first packet for some station to another station. Even if collision occurs its can recover from it as soon as possible.
