Abstract
A multileveled distributed railway traffic control system, which overcomes the drawbacks of conventional centralized railway traffic control systems, is proposed in this paper. The system structure, function distribution and interactions among different hierarchies of the proposed system is addressed in detail. The intelligent control algorithm corresponding to the system is also put forward in detail. The algorithm, which is based on distributed intelligence, knowledge engineering and fuzzy multi-attribute decision-making, can realize the control strategy traffic control. The feasibility of the approach proposed has been proved by simulations.<>
