  • Abstract
    The radar system design is the most important part of the design process during which alternative design solutions are generated. In this paper we present and develop the knowledge-based design support system (KBDSS) for radar system scheme design. The KBDSS consists of five parts: user interface, knowledge base, expert system, inference engine, design case base and model base for radar system analysis. Two models of design process are: decomposition and case-based reasoning. The knowledge representation in KBDSS is based on an object-oriented paradigm. Frames combining with production rules and procedures design methods are used to represent the knowledge of design objects.<>
