Abstract :
This paper presents power loss evaluations of space voltage vector modulated voltage source soft switching inverter using the latest IGBTs, which makes use of combined hybrid soft commutation scheme due to resonant DC link snubber and lossless capacitor snubbers. Two types of IGBTs, planar gate and trench gate, are used for the power loss analysis and compared on the basis of simulation analysis including experimental data
