Abstract
In this paper we introduce capacity scaling laws for VANETs considering the more realistic Physical Model. Moreover, we consider a single road scenario and derive an achievable lower bound and an upper bound for its asymptotic capacity when the number of nodes increases arbitrarily. The two bounds tend to be off the same order as opposed to the bounds previously derived for general wireless ad hoc networks, where the the achievable capacity seems to be of a lower order than its upper bound.
